Where to go for a family day out? Fun and Educational Outdoor Activities for Kids!

Updated: Apr 27, 2023

The East Midlands is a treasure trove of fun, educational, and engaging outdoor activities for the whole family. Spending time outdoors is not only enjoyable but also beneficial for children's physical and mental well-being. It encourages them to be active, improves their cognitive development, and fosters a connection with nature.

By adapting nature connectedness tools, such as offering sensory and aesthetic experiences, inviting a search for and expressions of meaning, and creating emotional responses that can amplify, concentrate, and deepen messages, we can help children form stronger bonds with the natural world.

Activation of emotions and meanings can lead to compassion and inspire action, making outdoor adventures in the East Midlands an invaluable experience for kids. Here are our top picks for a fantastic family day out in the East Midlands!
