About
Liga is the queen bee of Honey Craft,
a multidisciplinary practitioner who buzzes between roles as
a Cultural Producer, Project Manager, and artist.
Her creative practice is deeply rooted in her heritage and a profound connection to nature.
In 2020, Liga founded Honey Craft through De Montfort University's Start-Up and Growth Programme, Crucible. Born in the midst of the pandemic, Honey Craft became an exciting new adventure, inspired by a time of reflection and renewal.
Originally from Latvia, Liga shares: "Nature is in our roots. My grandmother kept bees, my mother kept bees, and I suppose the bees were just waiting for the right time to make me swarm. Now, I’m a beekeeper too."
Liga’s journey and Honey Craft are all about celebrating this deep connection to nature. Through immersive experiences, interactive workshops, and creative storytelling, Liga brings the magic of the natural world and
her cultural heritage to life.
